2010 Record Breaking GCSE Results
The staff and pupils of Stewards were delighted with the outcome of the GCSE examinations for 2010 when they were unveiled today. 41% of pupils, more than ever before, achieved 5+A*-C grades including English and Maths. 80% of pupils achieved 5+A*-C grades which equalled last year's outstanding initial results.
Five years of hard work culminated in pleasing results for the majority of Year 11 pupils who are now able to take up their places at sixth form and college. It was a pleasure to see the faces of the young people who had worked so hard to gain the grades they needed when they realised that they had achieved their goals. The staff who had worked with them were equally delighted with the outcome. It is particularly pleasing that some will continue their studies in Science and Art at AS level at Stewards, as part of the Westvic partnership.
