New Year 7 Parents Information

New Year 7 admissions for September 2013-What happens next?

Now that you know your child has a place here at Stewards Academy you may be wondering what happens next. Between you receiving your letter to confirm your child’s place and the new parents evening a lot of organisation will be going on behind the scenes. If you have any concerns or issues that you feel you need to discuss please get in touch by email to studentsupport@stewardsacademy.org or you can call into school on the normal school number and we will do our best to address your query. The information below will give you important dates for your diary.

New parents evening -Wednesday 3rd July from 6.00pm. On this evening you will find out who your child’s tutor will be. You will be able to collect pre- ordered stationery, school uniform will be on sale and you can hand in your completed emergency contact form (if you haven’t done so by then), meet with teachers and there will also be a speech by the Head Teacher.

Taster daysThursday 4th July & Friday 5th July. You will receive an information pack by post with the date that your child will be attending. This pack will also contain information regarding foreign language lesson choices, school trips, free school meals and extended schools information.

This pack is normally sent out by the end of May. If you haven’t received your pack by mid-June please get in contact with studentsupport@stewardsacademy.org  this email address can also be used for any changes to contact details and for any other queries regarding year 7 admissions.

New parents interviews- Thursday 11th July. You will receive an invitation to attend a parent’s only short timed interview to discuss your child’s transition to Stewards.

September start dates are as follows-

Monday 2nd September is an inset day.

Tuesday 3rd September- Year 7 only.

Wednesday 4th September-Staggered starts for years 8, 9, 10 & 11.
