We aim to broaden pupils’ perceptions of language use in the modern world. Pupils are encouraged to take part in trips abroad to practise the language wherever possible. We have links with partner schools in France, Spain and China.
The Modern Languages department has its own suite of four classrooms, each equipped with interactive Smart Boards giving access to a wide range of ICT resources. In addition to main textbooks, dictionaries and digital resources, we have an extensive resource bank including video and kinaesthetic resources to support a wide variety of learning activities and teaching methods.
